Creating an accurate funnel defined before importing campaigns allows you to map your campaign results to your funnel stages (and represent your business goals).
If your first action in the app is to import campaigns, this is what we will show you. The industry selection is defaulted to the industry you specified when you created your account, and we've given you a handy template funnel to get started.
To change the template, simply select another industry from the dropdown:
There are three things you can do at this stage:
Renaming funnel stages
Simply click on the name of the stage and begin typing to change it. Here I've changed my 'MQLs' step to 'Leads' as it resonates better with our internal marketing language:
Removing/adding funnel stages
The second customisation is to remove any unwanted steps that are not represented in your own funnel. It is also possible to add steps if you make a mistake in deleting a step. Simply click the plus icon to add a step, or the trash can to delete a step:
Please note, we strongly recommend that you include a revenue step in your funnel otherwise ROI calculations in the platform will not be available to you.
Add your most recent data
The final step to creating a funnel is to add your most recent funnel data.
Your funnel numbers should be representative of your most recent month of data (e.g. the last complete calendar month). This gives us a picture of where you are right now. You can make these more accurate later, or connect an integration to keep these numbers up to date automatically.
Once you are happy, you can click "Save funnel" to continue importing campaigns.
